Hey everyone, Anthony here with some big news and updates for Moonbeam! I’ll make it quick!

Sign-Ups!

This week, we surpassed 2,000 sign-ups on Moonbeam! Thank you for spreading the word about Moonbeam and inviting your friends to check us out. That’s been HUGE!

Moonbeam Updates!

  • Some fixes to our sign-in flow on mobile. Now, Safari won't mix up your username and password.

  • A fix for Realm chat: previously, the background was the wrong color.

  • For all the multi-text senders, messages are now grouped by user. We won't show your username and avatar each time you send a few messages in a row.

  • On desktop, you can now see whether the person you're chatting with is online. They'll have a little green circle next to their avatar.

  • If you have unread messages in a Realm, you'll see an indicator on the Realm icon on desktop.

  • Draft messages are now enabled! You can type a message in realm chat, navigate away from the chat room, head back, and voila - your draft will still be there.

  • OBS Chat Overlay URL in the Settings tab of your creator dashboard.

What is coming?

  • Multi-Realm streaming

  • More Public Realms

  • Mobile app updates

  • Improve platform performance

  • Backers with experimental features as a reward will receive streaming video quality upgrades

How can we keep the momentum?

We are nearing our 4-week mark of Open Beta, which is when we will begin speaking to folks about bringing additional resources to Moonbeam. Once we have the resources to scale, geesh…Moonbeam is gonna crush it! If you’ve been loving Moonbeam, here’s how you can help us finish the first month of Open Beta strong:

  • Invite your friends to check out Moonbeam

  • Share your experiences and thoughts about Moonbeam on social media

  • Chat with streamers or folks in Realms on Moonbeam
